Material: Aluminum
This is a very well made product. The aluminum case has a wonderful patina. As an Industrial Designer, I use it almost every day, and have developed a very personal connection with it. I created the video below to illustrate the basic assembly and function.
Pros: Built like a tank, precision machined, sculptural, no branding.
Cons: Thumb lock is not metal. At full extension the tape does not retract quite as smoothly as the plastic version.
